Ziguzajg - More than just entertainment for children

This year’s edition of Ziguzajg boasts over 150 performances and workshops for people of all ages. This is the 7 th edition of the Ziguzajg International Arts Festival . The festival was launched on Friday 17 th November and closes on the 26 th November. Ziguzajg takes pride in itself for being for people rather than for profit. This is because the performances and projects are either free or cost just a measly 2 euros. This means that it is easier for parents with multiple children to take them to the theatre and to art exhibitions as it only costs a family of 5 € 10.  The number of attendance to this year’s festival has yet to be announced however past iterations have boasted over 16000 attendees . With 25 projects in this year’s edition there is something for everyone. All the World's a Stage

I've said the phrase 'I can't. I have a rehearsal.' more times than I can count. I spend most of my time learning lines, doing vocal warm ups, and going to the theatre. I've been performing for around 14 years and I can't imagine stopping for a long time into the future.  I just finished a show 2 weeks ago and unfortunately there was an extremely low turnout. We only had around 60 audience members per show in a theatre that fits 500 people. This wasn’t for lack of a good show (although I do hold some bias) but merely due to the fact that not many people want to go to the theatre anymore.  This has inspired me to be more active in the theatre world. It is important that people involve themselves in the arts and I believe that the more people are exposed to news about the arts and theatre the more they can enjoy it.
